For Higher Yields and Greater Grazing Tolerance

Cherokee Feed & Seed and Pennington Seed Company cordially invite members of the Georgia Cattlemen’s Association to attend this FREE informative seminar on planting fall forage grass seeds resulting in higher pasture productivity. Cary Zech, Pennington Seed territory manager, will be on hand to discuss how to attain significantly greater gains, higher conception rates and better overall healthy cattle by choosing the right grass seeds for your farm or ranch.

Pasture seed topics include:

  • Jesup MaxQ Tall Fescue with non-toxic endophyte technology
  • Passerel Plus Annual Ryegrass with outstanding disease resistance and cold tolerance
  • Durana White Clover for persistence and grazing

Please contact us if you have any questions about Pennington Seed, pasture seeding, fertilizing & liming services and no-till seed drill rental. This is sure to be a great session on a timely topic where everyone can share their knowledge so bring your questions on how to increase pasture productivity.

We’re happy to host another meeting with the Georgia Cattlemen’s Association!

Pennington Seed Durana and Patriot Clover can save your pastures and save you money too! These clovers have been created to be taller with greater yields and to last in the pastures longer (persistence). Adding clover to pastures makes $en$e. Clover produces nitrogen so you do not need to spend as much money on fertilizers. Pennington clovers are drought tolerant and will reseed themselves. A stand of Durana clover can last for six years or more without reseeding. Traditional Crimson clover only lasts 6 months! Durana and Patriot Clover are best over seeded with a broadcast spreader. The seeds do not need to be sown deeply. They will take hold and start improving your pastures in as little as eight weeks. The clover will blossom from Spring till Fall and come back next year on its own. It works great for Deer Plots as well as for livestock.

Call Cherokee Feed & Seed for advice in improving your pastures this Fall. In addition to Pennington Seeds, we have spreaders, fertilizers and even a no-till drill you can rent.
